Flooded

Okay, so it's not that bad but......Yesterday, Justin got a call from our apartment office informing us that the bright individual leasing the apartment above ours had broken one of his ceiling sprinklers. I mean seriously, we have 10 foot ceilings, how do you accidentally break a sprinkler?? Were they sweeping the ceiling, playing ball in the house, or perhaps spider man was visiting?? As a result, water was running down our bedroom wall. He had to move everything out of our bedroom and closet so nothing would get wet. The apartment turned off our electricity so no one would get hurt. We had to stay in a hotel last night and I didn't even get to go home after work. Luckily, my caring husband grabbed all my bathroom necessities and work clothes so I could get ready this morning. We found out today that they have to replace the carpet so we will have to stay in the hotel again tonight. Good news is that it is a free hotel room and we *have* to go out to eat. Bad news is I still don't get to go home and the hotel they choose is about 15 minutes further from the office than our apartment. There is a reason we choose to live a half mile from downtown :)

Hope your Valentine's Day is not flooded like ours! Happy Valentine's Day!

We now know that Justin has a thyroid problem. It caused his metabolism to be so slow that his kidneys could not function properly. Hence, they were not processing his water intake correctly making him dehydrated. He is feeling okay but still gets dehydrated easily which makes him feel sluggish a lot. He went to the doctor today and has two new medicines to take that will hopefully help correct the thyroid problem. He didn't end up having the biopsy because the doctor determined there were no long term effects.

In other news, we're going to the Mavs game tonight to see them take on Shaq and the Heat. Should be a lot of fun!

This and That

Justin is having kidney problems so he has been going to the doctor alot this week. They have run a bunch of tests to determine what is wrong but we still don't know. He is having a kidney biopsy on Friday. Please pray that the procedure goes well and that the doctor is able to find the source of the problem.

Starting February 13, I am going to be doing a compliance project here at work for 4 to 5 weeks. This means that I won't be working for Leigh, my usual manager, during that time. It will be totally different work than I have been doing with a new group of people. I think I'll still be in the office but probably in a conference room with everyone instead of in my cube. I am excited because it should be fun or at least a break from the same ole same ole. Plus I have been trying to get on some different projects to broaden my experiences so this is a step in the right direction.

Yeah! Survivor Panama: Exile Island starts tomorrow. Every week one survivor has to go to exile island and live there alone for the week. It should be lots of fun!
