Yea! - June 29th

Our house is back to a livable temperature! On a sad note, I wish I were at the Twilight Saga 3 movies night :)

Atticus - June 28th

Atticus loves it when his sister and brother-in-law stay over. We stayed at my parents again tonight. Our AC is fixed but our house is still cooling off. It was still 80 degrees at 9:30.

It's Hot in Here - June 27th

Our AC went out this weekend. It was a warm 87 degrees in our house this morning. Luckily we spent the night at my parents last night. Hopefully when the repair guy comes this afternoon, he will say it can be fixed cheaply and quickly!

Racing Strips - June 26th

Yes, someone used pink duct tape to make racing stripes on their truck.

Fireworks - June 25th

Wonder what we did on Friday night?

Late Nights - June 24th

I've been working long hours this week. I've been coming home to work but tonight I stayed and ate dinner and worked with my staff. Here is the view from the parking garage when I left tonight.

In Need of Rain - June 23rd

Please let it rain soon. I can't take these 100 degree days any more plus my car really needs to be washed.

Sophie June - June 22nd

How could this not be my picture of the day?? How cute is she? And don't worry, she knows it! Funny story about that tiara. SJ loves her big brother so much she always wants to do exactly what he does. So while the kids were staying at my mom's, if they behaved all day they got to choose a treasure from the treasure chest. On Friday, I helped them choose out their prize. Walker choose a sticky hand...and so did SJ. Then I put the tiara on SJ's head and she lite up with the biggest smile. Then she saw Walker choose a sheriff's badge. She immediately ask for the badge and switched it for the tiara. Looks like she got the tiara another day!

Blackberry Bold - June 21st

Got my phone covers and screen protectors in the mail today all the way from Hong Kong. Now I can rock the Blackberry Bold in green, purple (although I think they sent me blue), or pink without worrying about unsightly scratches.

Isaac - June 20th

This is Isaac, Justin's best friend in new creations. He HATES nursery and makes that known by crying and standing at the door pointing out. The only thing that will calm him down is for Justin to put him in the stroller and give him a cup of cheerio's. Justin's patience is wearing thin after 5 weeks of this. Next week we are going to try to just leave him in the room and let him cry. He has to get used to staying in his class so Justin can do his job.

Adah Mae - June 19th

I forget to take a pic yesterday. We hung out with some friends last night and I meant to snap a pic to post. So instead, here is a cute one of my niece, Adah Mae, on her 1st birthday. This is Justin's sister's daughter.

Trolley - June 18th

Today I took the day off and helped my mom because she is keeping Kara's kids this week. We played, rode the trolley downtown with my Dad at lunch, floated while the kids napped and then swam after dinner. Ford wasn't feeling well but he was still cute..

Caladiums - June 17th

My dad planted us a pot of Caladiums at our annual Caladium planting party. They bloomed big time this week. The party is more my Dad plants Caladiums for all of us and the rest of us swim, visit, and enjoy ourselves. Thanks Dad for the Caladiums and Mom for the party :)

P90x Injury - June 16th

Got in a fight with my resistance band last night during P90x. So I spent the afternoon here with a diagnosis of 3 scratches on my eye. Lucky me also got a tetanus shot and antibiotic eye drops. I hate needles and can't keep my eyes open for the life of me. Justin literally has to old me down like a 3 year old to get anything in my eye.

5 Years - June 15th

Instead of the traditional pin with diamonds, E&Y lets you choose a gift for the big 5 year anniversaries. The pin is still available should you choose it...but so are lots of other very random items. You can get earrings, necklaces, a waffle iron, some golf clubs, TV trays, a clock, cuff links, power tools and many other interesting items. I choose a portable grill as pictured above (great for tailgating)! When I got home from work, it was sitting on the patio along with a surprise set of grilling utensils. Best part was the note inside on E&Y letterhead. It read "Thank you for all you do". Yes, thank you, and have a small, portable grill for your five years of slavitude. As my cube mate said, at least you didn't have to get the pin...he had his anniversary a few weeks before the new gift program was implemented...and was rewarded with a gold, E&Y emblem pin with one diamond.

Breakfast for Dinner - June 14th

We had breakfast for dinner tonight, banana pancakes with turkey bacon. Nothing like a low fat breakfast treat!

New Creations - June 13th

This morning, like every Sunday, Justin and I worked in the nursery. This is sweet Riley Angel.

World Cup Party - June 12th

We had some people over to watch the England v USA game on Saturday. We also played Rockband with Timothy who loved the drums and danced and sang along to Eye of the Tiger.

Ready to run - June 11th

All ready for my 6:30 run in the morning.

CVS - June 10th

The spoils of my CVS trip. I paid $4.15 for all of this plus I got $5.97 in CVS bucks to spend on my next trip. So total for the trip I am up almost $2. Not bad :)

The Morris's - June 9th

I forgot to take a pic at small group last night and therefore have no picture to post from yesterday. So instead I decided to post some pics of my sister's family since people in the blog world don't get to see alot of them. Theses pics are from Aaron's sisters wedding as well as some shots from Ford's birthday. Aren't they a good looking group? Little Sophie June is just like her Aunt Lindsay. When she put on her beautiful flower girl dress she said "I a cake". For those of you who don't know, I spent a good portion of my childhood arranging my dresses and night gowns around me to make them look like a cake. Odd I know.

You can see more of the Morris's at http://morrisfamilysnapshots.shutterfly.com/.

Ford unwrapping on of his many gifts.

Ford enjoying his cupcake.

Look at those cute little legs.

My office - June 8th

This is a familiar site to me and for lack of anything exciting to post today here it is. My building is the short one. To the left is woodall rogers and to the right is the AAC. 35 is behind the building.

YogaX - June 7th

Downward dog with leg kickback

Ford's Birthday - June 6th

My mobile blogger has not been working very well. I submitted my picture post via blackberry 3 times yesterday and none of them went through. I have also been having trouble with my wireless Internet at home. I spend alot less time on my computer (and alot more time watching bad summer television) when I have to go into the study to use the Internet. All that to say, I am at work now and just now getting around to posting my June 6th pic. I am going to start labeling my pics with days so I don't get confused in case I keep having technical difficulties.

Ford's 1st birthday is today. We celebrated this weekend. Here is a pic of his cake that he did not get to enjoy (although the rest of us did). Ford did get to dig into his very own cupcake at his party. I will post some pics of the party soon. I was the official photographer but used Kara's camera (mine was out of battery) so I will have to wait until she puts some on her Walgreen's site.

Funny side story...this cake originally said Happy 1st Birthday Sword. The decorator really thought the baby's name was Sword. That is a sad commentary on the baby name choices of my generation.

Family

We spent the evening in Arlington with justin's grandparents. Aunt, uncle, cousins, and sister. These were the only people who would pose for me.

P90x

We started P90x today. Here is our new torture device aka a pull up bar. My arms feel like they are going to fall off.

International Night

Tonight was International Night at our office. We had food from over 20 countries and everyone dressed up and brought artifacts, etc from the countries. I represented Greece and Kuwait and wore a traditional Kuwaiti Abaya.

Woodall Rogers Park Construction

Just a note, this is not the second best part of my June just something interesting. Construction on woodall rogers on my way to work. They are building a park over the freeway to connect the downtown art district to uptown. It will be completed in 2012.

Project June

I have decided to do a little project during June. I am going to attempt to post one picture every day. Alot of people in the blog world do this during December. But since December is already so busy, I thought a nice calm June would be easier. I have hooked up my blog to mobile blogger. I haven't tried it out yet but I think I can simply email a picture with a short description and blogger will automatically update my blog. So I should be able to snap a pic on my blackberry and email it to my blog in a matter of minutes. So hopefully, I can take a minute or two each day to take a picture documenting my life in June.

So to get this off to an exciting start....

Here are two pics of my Scentsy candle my grandmom sent me that I am enjoying smelling tonight while working. Something about a long weekend off makes for long hours the next week. The Scentsy is a plug in night light that melts fun smelling wax while it lights up your room. You can reuse the wax over and over or replace it with a new scent whenever you want.
