Weekend Update

On Friday I intended to leave work at 4:00 to make up for late hours during the week. I didn't make it out until a little after 5:00 but that is still a fun time to leave! We went to Blue Goose for Cinco de Mayo and hung out on the patio.

On Saturady, I went on a long run around White Rock Lake (5 miles). Then we headed to Fort Worth for Mayfest. It is a big festival at a park near downtown. There were bands all day at about 5 stages, fair type food, artists booths, kid land, rides, etc. We got there just in time to see the end of Petty Theft. They are a local Tom Petty cover band that Justin has been wanting to see. Then we walked around for a while. It was great weather for strolling except when it started raining. Luckily, it only rained for about 20 minutes and we had umbrellas. I had a Fletcher's corny dog and a funnel cake. Justin had fried catfish and a fried snickers. Please note that nothing we ate was shaped like Mickey Mouse. After Mayfest, we headed down to Sundance Square. We walked around and explored for awhile. Then after a short drive through cowtown, we headed back to the big D.

All in all, it was a great weekend. Except for maybe that game yesterday. That was not so fun. We'll get 'em on Tuesday!

Woo-Hoo: My moms mother's day gift came today and I get to open it when I get home!

Boo: I am starving with nothing to eat until I get home.

Sweet, did you meet any exciting people while walking out at White Rock Lake? I saw some wierd people there a few times. Sounds like a great weekend, only one more day and it's the weekend again!

I think you might have written an entire post, and I do not doubt that it was informative, inventive, and entertaining. However, I stopped reading when I saw that a certain dude ate a fried Snickers (and the fried catfish is a close second). Anyway, I really want to try that one of these days. Did he like it? Did they do the magic frying so that it was healthy? Of course, I really don't care. I want to eat one, anyway.
