Pictures!!!!

Some of you may have noticed my link already but if you click on the little icon in the upper right corner of my blog, it will take you to my on-line Italy photo album. I just uploaded my remaining pictures (mostly of Rome) today! Here are a few of my favorites:

Trevi Fountain. We threw 1 coin in to ensure a return trip to Rome! If you throw in two, you will find love in Rome. If you throw in three, you are wishing for a divorce. Me in Venice! This was the first day I had my clothes back so I wore my cutest outfit. Brand new for the trip!
Harbor on Isle of Capri. We took a boat over from Sorrento.

The Amalfi coast! This was the beautiful view of the town out of our hotel window!

Woo-Hoo: I had a great run this morning on a new route. I found a web page that lets you map out a route in any neighborhood and gives you mileage!

Boo: No Amazing Race tonight. I guess I can wait until tomorrow. At least Gilmore is new.

Real Quick....

Well, we're back! We had the most amazing time! Our trip started in Rome where we got to see the Vatican, coliseum, and Forum. Then we drove up to Venice via Asissi. Venice was Justin's favorite. We took a night boat ride down the Grand Canal and then spent the next day exploring the tiny streets! Next, we went to Florence and took a day trip to Pisa. I got a new leather jacket in Florence and we stayed at the cutest hotel that looked like an one of the old buildings. That night we got to eat dinner at a vineyard. From Florence, we headed south to Amalfi which is a small town on the other side of the mountains from Naples. It was a gorgeous coastal town built on the side of a mountain! Our hotel balcony looked right out on the sea. We went to Isle of Capri while in the area. That was pretty interesting and beautiful. Back in Amalfi that night, we got to watch the Good Friday procession. The small town square was packed and the procession had music and went all the through the town before carrying Jesus to the tomb. It was really cool to see! The next day we went to Pompeii which was amazing to think how old the town is but how advanced. We spent about two hours there but could have spent at least a week! We ended the tour in Rome with a wonderful farewell dinner with live opera. entertainment. Our tour group had 44 people with most being a little older than us. But we had a great time meeting everyone and having dinner and traveling with them. It was great to be on the tour and not have to worry about all the details. Plus our tour director, Patricia, was great! She had an education and art history degree and said she loved her job because art history was her passion. She was very helpful, especially when the airline lost my bag for 2 days, and sweet. All in all, it was an amazing experience that we were very lucky to get to share as a couple. Definitely a once in a lifetime trip!

Now that was just a brief synopsis of our 11 day journey. Expect more details with pictures as soon as I get them all uploaded.

Woo-Hoo: Justin and I just made too many great memories to count!

Boo: I had to go on a recruiting event yesterday and didn't get back until 11:30 pm.

The Babies Were Here

The baby doves hatched last week! I just saw them on Friday but I think they were hatched earlier in the week. Ellie (the mom) has been real puffed up all week and once I saw something (foot or baby??) underneath her. Then Friday morning I looked out and saw two baby doves. I was so excited! But then when I got home from work they were gone. Justin said he saw them perched on the edge of the balcony. So we assumed they learned how to fly and have left the nest. Now we just have a nest. I guess I need to trash it :( I am sad they are gone. It was fun watching them.

So cute....
But not as cute as Walker and Bella!!

The grandparents were in town this weekend. It was great to see you guys!

New addition. Copied from my friend's blog.

Woo-Hoo: Only 2 days, 23 hours, and 9 mins until we board the plane to Italy!!!
Boo: Lots of packing and laundry to do before then!
