Let's Go Dirk!

So I was a big whiney baby! It turned out not to be that bad. I went to the recruiting event and was sure to tell everyone it was my anniversary. So when I decided to slip out at halftime of the game, everyone was very understanding. I was out in Plano so it took about 30 minutes to get back downtown but I got to watch the fourth quarter and overtime with Justin! It was quite a victory! We had already techinically celebrated anyway. Justin took me to Ama Lur at the Gaylord Texan Resort on Sunday. We had fun exploring the hotel and then had a romantic dinner. I took some pictures but I don't have my camara with me so maybe I'll post them later (if you're lucky).

I forgot to update everyone on our 5K. It ended up being me, Justin, Jeff, Sandy, Paul, and Lindsay. Everyone finished and we had a blast! I improved my time from the last run so I was happy especially since it was after work and a humid 92 degrees.

In case your wondering, my title has nothing to do with my post. I'm just cheering on the big German!

Woo-Hoo: We get to watch the Mavs tonight! Plus, Lost season finale is on so we'll get to watch that another night when nothing is on.

Boo: I am out at a client today with nothing to do! Boring!

Whaaaaaaaaa

This is what I feel like, since instead of spending our anniversary watching the Mavs game with my wonderful husband, I have to go to a dumb work dinner with our recruits. In case you couldn't tell, it really bummed me out since I didn't even know about it until this morning.

Fort Worth View

So I am starting on my new projects at work this week. I am in Fort Worth today and tomorrow working in the E&Y office over here. It isn't too bad. No traffic on the way but it still took 45 minutes. I have a window cube with a view of the court house and trinity river. The trinity actually has water over here! I learned alot today and met some nice people. We got to walk to Mi Cocina for lunch. Yum! On Friday, I am going to Waco to meet the Curves people with Brian Marr. I am going to be taking over the project for Brian.

On a fun note, tonight is the Mavs game. This could be it!! Then on Thursday we are running in the Katy Trail 5K. It is at 6:30 and then there is a block party afterwards. Justin, me, his friend Jeff, and his girlfriend Sandy are all running.

Here's to Manu's failed attempt to recover the ball!!

Here's to my man's double-double!

GO MAVS!!! Let's do it again tonight!

Weekend Update

On Friday I intended to leave work at 4:00 to make up for late hours during the week. I didn't make it out until a little after 5:00 but that is still a fun time to leave! We went to Blue Goose for Cinco de Mayo and hung out on the patio.

On Saturady, I went on a long run around White Rock Lake (5 miles). Then we headed to Fort Worth for Mayfest. It is a big festival at a park near downtown. There were bands all day at about 5 stages, fair type food, artists booths, kid land, rides, etc. We got there just in time to see the end of Petty Theft. They are a local Tom Petty cover band that Justin has been wanting to see. Then we walked around for a while. It was great weather for strolling except when it started raining. Luckily, it only rained for about 20 minutes and we had umbrellas. I had a Fletcher's corny dog and a funnel cake. Justin had fried catfish and a fried snickers. Please note that nothing we ate was shaped like Mickey Mouse. After Mayfest, we headed down to Sundance Square. We walked around and explored for awhile. Then after a short drive through cowtown, we headed back to the big D.

All in all, it was a great weekend. Except for maybe that game yesterday. That was not so fun. We'll get 'em on Tuesday!

Woo-Hoo: My moms mother's day gift came today and I get to open it when I get home!

Boo: I am starving with nothing to eat until I get home.

Shopping Makes Everything Better

It's been a fun couple of days. I got to go shopping on Saturday. I got a new swimsuit, gaucho capris (see picture but mine are black), and a top from Urban Outfitter's (Uncle Randy's favorite store). I always go in there but this was my first purchase. I am very pleased as I felt cute when I wore it out Saturday night. We also watched the Mavs win in OT with some good friends. On Sunday, I went for a long run down Katy Trail. I made it all the way to Mockingbird! I also laid out by the pool in the afternoon. It was my first time at the new pool and it was fun. There were tons of people out there. Last night we got to watch the Mavs clinch a spot in the 2nd round with their first ever sweep of team in the playoffs. At this point, you should be wishing that you lived in Dallas not Phoenix :) Now we just have to sit back and wait to see who we will play in the next round.

Woo-Hoo: I finally found a swimsuit that fits and is cute!
Boo: It's only Tuesday at lunch. A long time until the weekend :(
