We had an awesome weekend. Saturday morning I had a nice 9 mile run. My race is next weekend so I am getting excited about that. It is the Heels and Hills Half Marathon in Las Colinas. The shirt you get is a pink technical running shirt. Then Saturday night we went to a good friend's wedding in McKinney. It was very small, only about 30 people, but very fun. The wedding was in the back yard of a historic home near downtown McKinney and the reception was inside. On Sunday we went to the final round of the Byron Nelson. It was pretty cold that day and windy. We walked around and saw the important golfer's (I only know one...Sergio Garcia). Then we sat down near the 18th green and watched everyone as they finished. It ended in a tie so we got to see the playoff hole. Then it went to a second playoff hole on 17 so we left at that point. Which was evidently too soon b/c there was a third playoff hole back on 18. The guy who won sunk a 45 foot putt to win it. We were exhausted Sunday evening and I fell asleep on the couch at around 9:30. No pictures allowed at the Byron. No camara taken to the wedding.

Last night we had a typical Texas spring storm. Our electricity went out a little after 10 pm and didn't come back on until around 3:00 am. So we went to bed early after discussing how glad we were not to be pioneers b/c no lights or TV is boring. But we did not sleep well since we had no background noise (our usual fan) and it was hot. Yesterday was upper 80's and very humid! So when the electricity came back on, we were both excited. And we knew it came back on b/c we had left the study light on and the fan so they both came on by themselves. So an eventful night and we were thankful the power was on in time to get ready this morning.

I hated to be so far down on the update list on Randy's blog...so here you go. I am back at work for the I don't know...20th day in a row! Our goal is to not work this weekend so pray that we meet that. The team is getting beat down, myself included. It has been 9:00 nights every day and then at least 5 hours a day on Saturday and Sunday.

I got kicked out of my cubicle last week as well. Evidently, my cube was more desirable than I was aware of and the new manager that is starting gets my cube. At first, I was only annoyed b/c I obviously had no time to move my cube last week and the cube on the other side of mine is empty. Why couldn't she sit there? It is like 5 steps away. But then my good friend at work mentioned that the cube across from her is empty and that I should move there. Great idea! So now I am very happy with my new spot. That was my excitement for the week.

Oh, and I ran 11 miles Saturday morning, watched the Mavs lose Saturday night, went to church Sunday morning, and spent some much needed time with my hubby on the couch on Sunday night.

Two new pictures that are random...

*Update*

I forgot to mention that we did not get into the NIKE race in San Francisco. Amanda was in this week though from Connecticut. So we discussed doing the Big Sur Half Marathon instead. It is in Monterey and looks like a beautiful course. You can check it out at http://www.bigsurhalfmarathon.org/site4.aspx

*Update*

I thought it was about time for an update. So I did run with my group that night...6 miles...and 6 miles the next Tuesday. Then we started working late. Since last week, the Sally Team has been working until at least 9 every night and on Saturday and Sunday as well. I should hit the 70 hour mark for this week by the end of the day. We are right in the middle of the project so at least another week of this. On top of that, Justin has mono. He has been sick for almost 2 weeks now. Poor guy has to go to work, feel horrible, and then come home and wait for me until around 9:30. But it is Friday, so we are planning on getting out of here around 6:30. Then we are having a birthday get-to-together for Kara. It is also supposed to be a beautiful weekend, low 70's for the high and sunny. So I am looking forward to our 12 mile run tomorrow morning. That will about all my fun for the weekend b/c it is back to work on Saturday at noon. Love you all.

Oh, one more thing...I ordered and received a new charger for my camera this week (My third one for this same camera. But it has been 4 years) so hopefully, I will have pictures again soon.
