8 Years Later

Justin and I celebrated 8 years of marriage this week.  How lucky I am to get to spend every day with my best friend and a wonderful man!  We usually celebrate in a pretty laid back manner and rarely even exchange gifts.  I thought it would be interesting to document how we have spent each anniversary and so without further ado, a list of our anniversary celebrations.

Wedding Day:  May 22, 2004 - Married in Dallas, TX

First: May 22, 2005 - Attended Candace and Jeremy Wiley's wedding in Waco, TX  and  stayed in the honeymoon suite at a local B&B.

Second:  May 22, 2006 - Attended a recruiting dinner for work.  We celebrated a few weeks early with a trip to Italy!

Third:  May 22, 2007 - Took a section of the CPA exam and celebrated with a homemade dinner of stuffed shells.

Fourth:  May 22, 2008 - I'm not sure what we did this year!

Fifth:  May 22, 2009 - Dinner at Stephen Pyles' restaurant, Ama Lar, at the Gaylord Texan Hotel.

Sixth:  May 22, 2010 - Picked out our gifts together.  Justin got a replacement volleyball and I got Vibriam Five Fingers.

Seventh:  May 22, 2011 - Dinner at Grimaldi's....one of our favorite dinner spots.

Eighth:  May 22, 2012 - Dinner at Urban Turban on the North Wharf in Auckland, New Zealand.  Delayed celebration will be dinner at the Observatory at the top of the Sky Tower overlooking the city.
