Exploring KL

As there is only one direct flight a day from Kuala Lumpur to Auckland, I had an extra day in KL to explore after training ended.  My flight didn't leave until 10:30 pm so I literally had all day.  So one of my colleagues and I took a taxi into the city and spent the morning exploring KL.  We visited the Petronas Towers, China Town (again), Central Market, Masjid Jamek (mosque), and the Sze Ya Temple.  As we were walking up to the Masjid Jamek it started to sprinkle and then within minutes it was pouring down rain!  Seriously, our umbrella did little good!  So we called it a day, hailed a taxi, and headed back to the hotel.  After much negotiation, I had secured a late check out for 7:30 pm.  I spent the rest of the day shopping in the mall attached to the hotel and then relaxing in my room preparing for the flight back to Auckland.  The flight home was uneventful and I made it back home around 4:00 pm the next day.

I forgot to mention that I had a successful shopping trip both in China Town and at the mall.  I picked up 3 pairs of Ray-Bans, 2 Longchamps purses, a Mont Blanc wallet, 2 pairs of slacks, and some tops.  You can guess where I got what!

Inside China Town...I thought this pic really portrays the busyness ( I google this and it is a word) of the area.

Now, THAT is the way to spend an extra day, and especially in KL. I Googled Longchamp Purses and found that...wait for it...they look like EVERY OTHER PURSE. Well, you like them and I suppose that is what matters. Glad it was a successful trip in every way.
