The day after the Tongariro Crossing J and A embarked on an all day guided fly fishing trip while Kara and I spent a relaxing day in Kuratau. The boys enjoyed their trip despite only half catching one fish. They loved their guide Brent (perhaps a little too much) and enjoyed the beautiful weather and scenery. Kara and I spent a leisurely morning in our chalet before heading out for a brief walk along Lake Taupo. Our vineyard chalet was amazing as we were literally steps from the vines with beautiful views over the grounds. We then had lunch and a long chat overlooking the lake at Oreti Village Resort.

After picking up and cleaning up the boys, the four of us enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Lakeland House complete with lamb, pate, and a beautiful view.

I am a little concerned about the loving Brent comment. It sounds too much like a line from the movie Deliverance. Hey, at first I thought you and K were having satay, but it looks like some kind of Kiwi Fajita. What is that?
I think what you are referencing is just grilled bread with dips!
