Thanksgiving

We had a great Thanksgiving. We spent Thursday at my parents with Kara, Aaron, Walker, Ben, June, and George. Kara, the Grandparents, and I cooked while Mommy took it easy. Then we all watched the Cowboys win, again!! Food was excellent and the company even better. The rest of the weekend Justin and I looked at condos and started getting ready for Christmas. I studied and ran as well.

Justin's sister Amanda is getting married this weekend and we are both in the wedding. I am taking Thursday and Friday off to get ready. Well, actually Thursday is a shopping day and then her bachelorette party is that night. It should be a fun and exciting weekend. Until then, you can picture me in my cube typing on my laptop.

We cooked...

And then we played.

Walker is a little scared in this picture. Jazzy (Grandmommy's dog) was barking which made Walker cry which made the dog howl which made Walker cry even more!

I got my CPA scores back!! I passed the second section with a 96! Yea!

Last week I went to Houston for training. I got to stay in the Four Seasons which was wonderful! They cleaned your room every time you left, filled-up your ice bucket, shined your shoes, and a million other things. I would highly recommend anyone to stay there. Except only if you aren't paying! I had fun getting to know my co-workers a little better over dinner and such. The training was okay but what do you expect. I took Tax Controversy and Corporate Tax 2. I missed Justin though because I was gone for 4 nights. I was supposed to only be gone for 3 but my flight got canceled due to high winds in Dallas. So I had to stay an extra night. Unfortunately, I was trying to catch an earlier flight so I didn't know it was cancelled until I got to the airport (a $55 cab ride later). Luckily, I wasn't paying again! I took the shuttle back and arranged for it to pick me up at the hotel the next morning. That is a much better deal. $20 one way and cleaner and not as scary as a cab.

Did I mention I am half way done with the CPA??? Now I am just looking forward to having a few days off. I am hoping to spend time with family, run, study (for section #3), and look at houses.

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!!

Yeah, Yeah, Yeah

Since it has been so long since I last posted.......I thought I would make the normal excuses. Truth is I haven't had much to say. Then the other night I typed up a whole post and my internet connection messed up (we have wireless) and it deleted it.

We've been really busy working, running (just me not Justin), volunteering to earn money for running, and looking for a house. Well, a condo really. We are hoping to buy a place by the first of the year since our lease will be up then.

I took the auditing portion of the CPA Exam yesterday. It went really well! I forgot to mention that studying had been taking up a lot of my time. I have been working with a team from New York this week. For some reason, they decided that it was really funny to talk about me making the highest score in Texas on the CPA. They even told the joke to the client. She didn't know what to say to that. E&Y puts out a daily newsletter and it always highlights when someone scores the highest in their state. So the whole time, they were telling me they expected to see me in the newsletter. I don't think that is going to happen! But all I need is a 75 to pass :)

Here's a picture of Justin and me on Halloween (just for Lauri).
