Fab Five #2

Evidently I am horrible at posting Fab Five's. So here goes a quick one before it is too late.

1. A great homecoming weekend in Waco with Ashley and Bryan, a bonfire, a football game, a hilarious hotel situation, and a night of country rock band. Which by the way, I am awesome at country rock band.

2. A Cowboy's win on Sunday with the folks.

3. An uneventful workweek with relatively few hours.

4. A fun Friday today running 8 miles (in the cold and rain but still fun) and working at home in my Baylor hoodie.

5. My hair looked awesome today. I worked from home so I got to let it dry all the way by itself which I rarely get to do.

My First Fab Five

I am following the lead of a fellow blogger and posting my Friday Fab Five (one day late b/c I forgot to finish and post last night after work). Below are 5 things I am thankful for this week. Maybe this will be a weekly occurrence...only time will tell.

1. The Texas State Fair. Justin and I went to the fair last night for the second time. It was spur of the moment b/c Ashley and her boyfriend were going and wanted to park one of their cars at our house. It was $4 admission after 5 with a coke product. So we went and had a great time. The petting zoo was fun for the second time...they have a giraffe, a zebra, and many other animals. I had my second Fletcher's corndog, twisted tators, and a funnel cake. After all, it is all about the food. That's me in the wheel of a monster truck at the fair.

2. A Great Sunday. On Sunday, I got to go on a great 12.5 mile run, followed by church, and then shopping. Then when Justin got home, we watched the Cowboy's beat Kansas City.

3. Pumpkins. We had a whole bag of candy corn pumpkins in our conference room at work and I got to eat some every day.

4. Not bad schedule. We worked all day on Saturday but the rest of the week has not been late nights which is a blessing for this project. This is my 3rd year on this project and the best hours so far.

5. Black Flats. I got the cutest black flats on my Sunday shopping trip. They are pointy toe with two ruffles on the front. I wore them twice this week :)

Football and the Fair

Not sure why I haven't updated lately. Alot has been going on so it is not for lack of interesting material. We have been to 3 Baylor games resulting in 1 loss and 2 wins. Bryan and Ashley went to all 3 games with us and we got to eat at Heitmiller, Ninfa's, and Bushes! The Morris' made it to 2 of the games, well 1 game with all 3 kids and 1 game with Walker and Aaron. This Saturday it was pouring down rain in Waco. We braved the weather and sat in the rain under our poncho's or raincoats for the first half. It stopped raining for the second half but we were still wet when we got back to Dallas. We had fun anyway and were glad to not be hot like the other 2 games. We also had Sophie June's 2nd birthday and Ford's baptism. Justin and I took this past Monday off and went to the State Fair of Texas. As usual, it was a great time. We sampled many fried favs including fried butter, fried queso, and a fried dinner roll. My favorite was definitely the fried queso! We also saw our friend Big Tex, some farm animals, and the car show. Today we had a football party with Ashley and Bryan. Too bad the Cowboy's lost :( You may want to visit Kara's shutterfly page for more
