New Market

We had a great day last Saturday exploring a little more of Auckland city.  As my bike was finally fixed, we took our first ride in Auckland.  We cruised down Tamaki Drive to Mission Bay and then St. Heliers Bay.  Tamaki Drive extends from basically our apartment along the water front for about 9 km.  There is a walking/bike path along the road and you pass around 4 or 5 bays on the path.  You get views of Rangitoto (the volcano island), Devonport, and the city skyline.  It is a fun a long run or a nice easy ride!  After our ride, we cleaned up and rode the train to New Market.  New Market is an outdoor shopping area and we did a little window shopping before settling down at a pizza place for dinner.  We really enjoyed our pizza at Archie's on the patio and will definitely be back.
